This track includes the only Playford tune on the album: Mr Beveridge’s Maggot. It was featured in the BBC dramatisation of 'Pride and Prejudice', and we learnt it from that highly lauded collection of 17th century tunes: YouTube. The second tune is a cracking Northumbrian 3/2 hornpipe, the name of which we didn’t find until relatively recently. Once discovered, it was assigned to Jason’s arrangement, as his working title, ‘Maggot set’, just didn’t seem quite right…
