On Easter Sunday, 'nutters' can be observed on the streets of Bacup in Lancashire demonstrating the coconut dance. The performers are traditionally men wearing white skirts, turbans, and coconuts tied to their legs. Perhaps our interpretation of this traditional tune from Rochdale would be considered by these dancers a coconut short of a Bounty bar. What can we say?
